Heat forward Shane Battier was the unsung MVP of Miami’s recent title run, knocking down timely threes and making all the little plays that win games.
He probably deserves some shoe love from PEAK. And it looks like he got it with the Battier VII, shown here in Black/Red.
First observations reveal a mid-cut height with full grain leather, a red midsole/outsole combo, and a arch looking thing across the midfoot called Foot-Belt, the function of which seems self-explanatory so we won’t belabor that.
An inner bootie peeks out of the collar with the words “Tie Up” printed on the lateral side in white. Upon further inspection, this sleeve is integrated into the lacing system, like a sort of built-in ankle wrap or brace. The heel features an aggressive external heel counter and, moving to the medial side, we see a Batmanesque Battier bat logo with his jersey number 31 inset. That’s the same logo sitting on the tongue of his “Year of the Dragon” edition we recently covered.
Many angles of the shoe here to check out so please do. Will bring you more info if/when it materializes.
