The Air Jordan XX8 official media unveiling was held last week at Skylight West, an event space located in midtown Manhattan.

Revealing an 8-inch tall basketball silhouette at a $250 price point, the Tinker Hatfield-designed, Josh Heard-developed Air Jordan XX8 immediately sparked intense chatter and discussion from all corners on the head-turning newest Jordan Brand flagship shoe.

Russell Westbrook was the first Team Jordan athlete to wear the XX8 in NBA competition.

Inspired by the concept of “stealth” and a military boot cut, Air Jordan XX8 introduces Flight Plate technology to “unlock” and maximize the responsiveness of Zoom underfoot, as the brand describes it.

Air Jordan XX8 releases nationwide on February 16, 2013.
