Finally. We’re finally getting some off-beat kicks from the NBA’s sneakerheads from the past couple nights. Knew they had it in ’em.
Case in point: Knicks and Celtics game last night. You had Rajon Rondo in yellow/green/bronze Nike Air Max Hyperposites, Iman Shumpert in adidas T-Mac 1, and Melo in his black and orange M9. Rondo balled in those things, too, throwing up a triple double of 23 points, 10 boards, 11 assists to go with 3 steals. Shump added 10 and 5, while Melo led all scorers with 28 points. Not sure who wins the “Best Kicks” award between the two teams but Knicks got the 89-86 W. Maybe it was the shoes. In that case, Knicks.
If you were thinking the sneaker fun began and ended in Boston, stop thinking that. Because Mike Conley and Jerryd Bayless donned some black and yellow adidas Top Ten 2000s in Memphis’ win over the Lakers on Wednesday night. And Al Jefferson put away his Hyperdunks in favor of Jazz-compatible Zoom Hyperdisruptors. And Al-Farouq Aminu stepped out in Nike Air Max 2 Strongs. And Smoove put on his new adidas Crazy Fast PEs. And Stack in grey Fila Stacks. Told you.
Let’s get to NBA Kicks.
