The China-Only Li-Ning Thunder


The Li-Ning Thunder is another one of those models that stays in China and we only get to see in Ye-Wa photos.

So what kind of shoe would you get if you could pick these up at your local Foot Locker?

A blue and neon yellow one, for starters, with slotted TPU wrapping the upper and hiding neon mesh, some carbon fiber print overlays at the flex point, synthetic toe, and BOW tech that Li-Ning says “functions as an independent suspension system providing optimal cushioning and support.”

Would you give these a try on the court?

I love Li-Ning and these are no different. It pains me that there hasn’t been a new model hit U.S. soil in over a year and even worse there hasn’t been anything above a size 13 since the Defend and Conquers. Li-Ning needs to get their shit together and bring products to the U.S. I cannot wait to get my hands on ANY size 14s, Wades especially!!!

I feel you JR but Li Ning is not to blame for their inability to come here its us!!! The US consumer is too brainwashed to try anything different. These are cool but no retailer is going to take the chance of bringing anything in right now and messing with their bottom line until the consumer shows different.

Like the action going on in the upper.

Li-Ning has to start somewhere in order to expand their market presence in the U.S. With Wade on board, they should be able to get more exposure, and possibly get a group of guys to endorse his new brand on the court as well. Definitely looking forward to the Way of Wades.

Availability, and size-range definitely something to look at.

For all brands, BIG-FOOTERS are usually more open-minded, so offer up to size 16-18, because WE are your potential customers more so than small-footers.
