The field for this year’s three-point contest featured four long range assassins, a wing player who’s decent from distance, and a point guard best known for playmaking. Guess who won.
Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving put on his best Mark Price, draining 23 points in the final round to snag the 2013 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest title. And he did it in a pair of wine and gold Hyperdunk 2012 PE’s, one of the many variations of Hyperdunk 2012 he’s worn throughout the season. It obviously worked.
The other contestants were thinking along the same lines. Matt Bonner managed to save a pair of his New Balance 8025 — one of the precious and few he has left — for the occasion, while Paul George’s Nike Hyperdunk 2012, Stephen Curry’s Hyperfuse 2012, Steve Novak’s Lunar Hypergamer and Ryan Anderson’s Hyperdunk 2012 completed the tried-and-true sneaker lineup.
