The NBA rolled out another Hardwood Classics night Friday, with Miami, Indiana, Milwaukee and Chicago bringing back some of the better loved jersey designs of the ’90s. Miami’s red alternate triggered memories of those Mourning-led Heat teams, while Indiana’s pinstripes recalled the Reggie Miller contending days, Milwaukee’s Buck screenprint the start of the Robinson/Allen/Cassell run, and Chicago’s black alternate pinstripes the MJ/Pippen/Rodman golden era. Though the threads were cool to revisit, NBA Kicks is more interested in the footwear and there was some good selections last night with Rudy Gay dropping 20 off the bench in Carmine VIs for his Toronto debut win, DWade good for 17 in red tongue WoWs, LeBron going for 28 in red and black Xs, and Mike Beasley scoring, well, just 4 points but making those 4 look good in Concords and AJ 19s.
These shoe and looks from Monta, Damian, Tayshaun and more ahead. Oh, watch for Beasley from Thursday night in Bred 4 retros with midsoles that look totally BB gun-ravaged. He knows better.
