Amidst a sea of retro releases from nearly every brand you can think of, the Dada CDubbz has finally appeared on the horizon.
Chris Webber’s signature shoe from the 2001-02 season, the CDubbz harks back to a time when CWebb was dominating, the Sacramento Kings were contenders and major athletes were enjoying massive success with lesser known sneaker brands. Maybe not that last part.
Astute sneaker fans remember this shoe for its patent leather look and faux wood treatments but it was the liquidy chrome silver colorway Webber wore in the 2002 NBA All-Star Game that got everyone’s attention.
According to the “Kicks” section of the current SLAM Magazine Issue 166, Dada produced 100 pairs of those as a 10th anniversary nod for $200 per (see images ahead), and they had a targeted February release. Did anyone procure a pair, let alone see them in person, though?
In any case, you can get the CDubbz in Black/Silver, Black/Crimson, and Tan/Crimson right now at Finishline.com.
