It’s not the Crazyquick but this Dwight Howard shoe and adidas’ newly launched premier basketball model share some similarities. Both have that low profile, segmented “quick zone” tread tuned for fast and light performance, 3-Stripes reaching up to the eyestay, streamlined uppers, and mid-cut collars.

Quasi-concentric lines wrap the toe and sides back to the heel with a purple gradient effect, purple handles the collar and midsole, and a touch of yellow on the tongue backing and word marks complete the Lakers vibe. Dwight’s familiar DH logo is included. miCoach enabled.

While we await more images, info, everything really, enjoy these detailed photos and let us know your thoughts.

Thanks to reader RDK for the tip.

Seriously feeling these, a ‘big-boy’ PURE.

The 1 thing I’d change, the 3-stripes, these standard stripes aren’t flowing, go GIANT-stripes, or just Logo-branding(Crazy 8 style).

I agree. I think the 3 stripes should have more curve to them so that they flow better with the concentric lines on the upper.

Or maybe have the 3 stripes be more subtle between the concentric lines. They’d emanate from the malleolus, with each sequential curved stripe increasing in size. I realize the 3 stripes help with fit through the eyelets, but I feel they can experiment and push the aesthetic more.
