The founder and CEO of Under Armour is set to appear on Rock Center with Brian Williams tonight.
NBC has a preview up of the Kevin Plank segment in which it says no one at Under Armour speaks of Nike or Phil Knight by name.
It’s followed up by a choice quote from Plank himself:
I’m not going to lie to you. I read their book. And when I was reading their book, I was thinking, I’m probably the one guy they don’t want reading this book. But, do we learn lessons from there? Yeah.
Plank hasn’t been shy in his and his company’s giant ambitions on rival Nike.

Well like with Oregon and Nike, Under has done their thing in Baltimore, Maryland. I was at a tourney in Harlem not too long ago, and the club team reppin’ Baltimore was outfitted in Under Armour kicks, with one cat rocking a pink pair of the Charge. The announcer was like, ” nice move by the guy in the interesting shoes”…I was cracking up!
