NBA Kicks: Grizz-Spurs Game 1 Recap

On the eve of the Grizzlies-Spurs Game 1, conventional wisdom held that a great evenly matched series was on tap. Someone forgot to asterisk conventional wisdom with the caveat “If Memphis shows up.” San Antonio took the opening game of the Western Conference Finals 105-83 led by Tony Parker’s game-high 20 points and 9 assists. Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green also stepped up, adding 18 and 16 points, respectively. Memphis got 15 and 7 from Marc Gasol, 14, 4, 8 and 1 from Mike Conley, and 17 off the bench from Quincy Pondexter but it was what the Grizzlies didn’t get that helped stick them in an 0-1 series ditch. Only two points from Zach Randolph. Only six from Tayshaun Prince. Only eight from Jerryd Bayless. Can’t win if you can’t score and Memphis couldn’t. They’ll try to recover Tuesday night.

Kicks highlights from Game 1 ahead. T-Mac makes an appearance so watch for that. And Grizzlies reserve Tony Wroten made his two minutes of playing time count with Space Jams. The rest of the lot you’re probably well familiar with but we’re gonna cover it anyway…

I absolutely LOVE those Silver-Uni’s, I’m hoping they’ll do more Logo-Alternates in the coming years.
