So, the adidas D Rose 4 in a lot of blue and yellow. You’re thinking Simeon Career Academy, where Derrick Rose attended high school and played from 2003 to 2007. That’s a fair assessment because Simeon’s school colors are blue and gold. There’s an outside shot of an “All-Star” designation but it’s practically lost in space.
In any case, this colorway really accentuates the Rose 4′s apportioned upper. There’s no misinterpreting the vertical line that runs from the top of the collar down and under the midsole. Reminds one of those Hebrew National commercials that show a cow graphic divided up in puzzle piece form to show what parts they use for the hot dogs. Rose 4 is clearly telling you where the heel is and where the rest of the shoe is. Good thing adidas decided to use both.
Sprintframe and adiprene+ look present and accounted for, as does the segmented Crazyquick-like outsole. The forward portion of the upper has a fuse thing happening, the line squiggling forward from the vamp almost soldered looking. Heavy perforation everywhere else, allowing for yellow or any color on future colorways to backlight.
That’s the D Rose 4 “Probably Maybe Simeon” in a nut graph or two. Share your thoughts on this shoe, this colorway, how weird the weather is these days below in the comments. And stay tuned for more details developing with these kicks.
