The surprising Portland Trail Blazers keep on surprising, ringing up yet another quality win with a 111-104 decision over the visiting Houston Rockets on Thursday night.
LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with a monster double-double of 31 points and 25 rebounds to go with two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Teammate Damian Lillard was well off his usual 20-point mark with a quiet 8 points but the Blazers picked up solid contributions from Nicolas Batum (15 points, 6 rebounds), Robin Lopez (16 points, 10 rebounds), and Wesley Matthews (18 points).
The win ups Portland to 19-4 on the season, good for first in the Western Conference and just a half game behind the Indiana Pacers for best record in the NBA.
