Last night in Brooklyn, Carmelo Anthony celebrated 10 years with Jordan Brand and pushed back against the notion that his team is, as he called them, a league “laughingstock.”
Anthony wore a black, blue and orange Knicks-themed pair of Jordan Melo 1.5 — his first Jordan signature shoe released in 2004 — for 19 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 block to help New York to a much-needed 113-83 blowout win over the Nets. He was joined in the notable kicks department by J.R. Smith, who dialed up a Knicks “Precision Timing” edition of the Nike KD VI, and Iman Shumpert, who returned to his oranged-out adidas Top Ten 2000.
Brooklyn point guard Tyshawn Taylor stepped out in the adidas Crazy 8 “Brooklyn Nets.”
