NBA Kicks: MLK Day Brings Out The Purple ‘N’ Gold

The NBA celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with an array of purple and gold-trimmed sneakers, ranging from shoes like Jordan Brand’s “MLK Day” XX8 SE and Super.Fly 2 to Nike Basketball shoes like the Zoom Crusader, Hyperdunk 2013, KD VI, and Kobe 8.

Others kept their sneaker choices stock, preferring to take care of business in standard team-oriented looks.

Kudos to the players who wore purple. BTW, what King did was not just about equality for Blacks. Learn your history… American history, and respect what he did for us all.
