NBA Kicks: Revenge O’ Russell

Russell Westbrook scored 24 points to complement Kevin Durant’s game-high 42, wresting a 106-98 victory from the Rockets — and delivering a bit of comeuppance — on Tuesday night.

The match marked the first time that Westbrook and Rockets guard Patrick Beverley have faced each other on the court since Game 2 of the Houston-Oklahoma City first round playoff series roughly 10 months ago, when Beverley’s closeout on a timeout-calling Westbrook resulted in the Thunder star’s right knee injury, and absence from the Thunder lineup through half of the 2014 NBA regular season.

Beverley’s stat line of 2 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in 25 minutes didn’t do much to help Houston’s cause last night, punctuated by a technical foul for an altercation with Westbrook with 6:10 left in the first quarter, ironically, near the same spot where the injury took place as Westbrook was calling a timeout.

For his not-so-subtle revenge game, Westbrook donned a pair of white and orange camo Air Jordan XX8 SE, a sort of inverse of the XX8 SE he wore last Friday in Phoenix.

Let’s get to all the choice kicks from Tuesday night ahead in the first and original NBA Kicks, including Andrew Bynum’s Nike Air Max Hyperaggressor first game for the Indiana Pacers, another Air Jordan XX8 SE player exclusive for Celtics swingman Jeff Green, Ben McLemore’s Kings-friendly adidas D Rose 4.5, and more…

I wish the GR KD VI would focus on Blue/Orange more, like his PE’s *drool* , rather than Blue/Volt.
