Nick Young’s 11 points off the bench in the Lakers’ 115-99 win over the Suns didn’t make much noise but his sneakers absolutely made up for it.
Young, whose shoe repertoire this season has included plenty of Nike Kobe 9 in the absence of his number 24-wearing teammate, broke out a white/black/yellow edition of the Nike Kobe 9 EM to match the Lakers customary Sunday white uniform. Swaggy P joins Warriors swingman Andre Iguodala as the only NBA players to rock out the lowtop Kobe 9 so far.
Speaking of Iggy, he switched back to the Kobe 9 Elite Detail over the weekend (from the Kobe 9 EM “University Gold” that dropped on Saturday), which has been the Kobe 9 colorway du jour for players like himself, Tobias Harris, and Moe Harkless. Between these guys and P.J. Tucker, Amar’e Stoudemire and J.R. Smith, Nike Basketball isn’t hurting for player reps for Kobe’s super high signature shoe.
