Converse Aero Jam “Hornets”

Converse follows up the Aero Jam “Home” and “Away” retro releases with an all-out Hornets colorway of teal and purple. Nubuck abounds on this bringback, with an orange print lining, and portions of purple along the bottom. We’re 21 years too late for Larry Johnson to lace these up but perhaps someone on the reborn Charlotte Hornets roster can do something.

You can, too, as these are available now at select retailers like Ubiq.

Beautiful colorway, I got 2 problems with Converse though.

1. pricing(it’s a 100 shoe, selling for 130 in Europe).
2. the precision stitching stretched the silhouette a little, which is a shame, the more bulky look was perfect on these.

Hello Nene33, price-wise these run the same as the Adidas Crazy 8 here in the US. They are high quality (I use mine regularly for basketball since I got them last November) so no complaints with the stitching or cushioning. I really like my Aero Jams and would like to get another pair (the red, white, and blue ones).

Over here they cost 30 Euro more than the Crazy 8(which is about $42)

And it’s not about the quality of the stitching(I know they’re good shoes), they ‘redefined’ the shape, and I like the more compact original silhouette better, than this new, leaner silhouette.
