NBA Kicks: Blazers Get Too Much TP

Today’s NBA Kicks recap focuses on Tony Parker, whose 33 points, three rebounds, nine assists, and one steal paced the defending West champion Spurs in a 116-92 Game 1 blowout over the Blazers. The match was really not even as close as the final score suggests, with Parker dicing up the Portland defense with his patented drives and pull-up jumpers in the PEAK Team Lightning TP9 while Marco Belinelli, Patrick Mills, and Aron Baynes combined for 39 points off the bench.

The Blazers tried to put up a fight behind another stellar LaMarcus Aldridge performance, but the Portland big man’s 32 points, 14 rebounds, and two steals — as well as Damian Lillard’s quiet 17 points on 6-15 shooting — weren’t nearly enough to overcome the Spurs attack. The Blazers will try to keep from heading home 0-2 when the series resumes Thursday night in San Antonio.

Plenty of kicks to recap ahead, including Tony’s, King James in whiteout-styled Nike LeBron 11 Elites, KD and CP3 reverting to their regular season sneakers to battle in OKC, and plenty more…
