With Derrick Rose running point in the new adidas D Rose 5 Boost, the Crazylight Boost will fill the lanes this fall on the feet of adidas athletes Damian Lillard, Joakim Noah, Jrue Holiday, Mike Conley, and Jeff Teague.
Like the D Rose 5, Crazylight Boost features a first-ever implementation of Boost cushioning in a basketball shoe, providing players at all levels of competition a new performance option. This 11.6-ounce midcut combines the ultra light weight of a ShockWeb overlay with a soft mesh upper, a revamped collar design, GEOFIT padding, and TECHFIT stretch mesh on the tongue. A StableFrame midsole enables a smooth transition throughout the midfoot.
adidas really put in the work to craft the Crazylight Boost, pairing adidas design and innovation teams to collaborate ideas, and bringing in top players from college to the pros like Patrick Beverley, Arron Afflalo, and Ben McLemore to run comprehensive tests and drills to fine tune all aspects of the design.
adidas will release Crazylight Boost in multiple team and special edition colorways over the coming months, including team player editions for Lillard and Ricky Rubio.
Crazylight Boost release is set for September 1 for $140 to adidas.com and adidas retailers.
