Since the knit craze hit two years ago pre-2012 Olympics, adidas and Nike have been frontrunners for the technology. Now we have the adidas adizero Primeknit Boost, combining two of adidas’ top technologies. Too much or just the start?

***

What came first, Flyknit or Primeknit? No one knows, and judges and lawyers tried to figure it out, but here is the good news – we the public get to decide, since adidas has finally made the states with a knitted upper. Nike may have gotten the jump start but don’t think adidas is behind the curve.
So what do you, loyal reader, get with a knitted shoe? Well, that comes later in the piece, but I can tell you my highpoint was still the Boost. Any shoe with Boost is a winner, and if you haven’t tried it you better get on the wagon before the D Rose 5 hits. I can say, on first opening, the shoe is light for a Boost midsole. Much lighter than the Energy Boost and Springblade. Let’s get them on the road (and treadmill, and gym)…

Great review duke. Own a pair of the adios boosts with the same midsole and love them – personally think they feel a lot better when running at speed. The energy boosts are definitely bouncier and more cushioned but for a racing flat/trainer these do an excellent job.

Absolutely – felt like they needed to go fast and push hard, not a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood. Surprising toe from a seeming “lifestyle” innovation like Knit.

Great review, they seem like a solid, aggressive runner.

I’m bummed out I can’t afford a Boost shoe yet, can’t wait to try a Cross-Trainer(RG3 is my top-prospect) though.

Ehhhh, I just don’t see the benefit of a knitted shoe, especially living on the east coast, NYC, where one has endure bad weather during the fall and winter months. However, it seems to be a hip addition just to simply throw into a bag.
