Here’s a First Look at the Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11. Shown here in White/Black-Varsity Royal and White/Black-Varsity Red, the CMFT Viz Air 11 appears as a casual running silhouette inspired by Air Jordan XI and is the first shoe in an upcoming series of Air Jordan-inspired casual sneakers from Jordan Brand. The upper features an XI-esque white mesh upper/lacing system and rand surrounding the shoe. A plain white midsole, Visible Air heel unit, and translucent outsole cap the look. With the official release of the “Silver Anniversary” edition Air Jordan XI Retro this past Saturday, some consumers were left scratching their heads when they returned home to find the Jumpman logo stitched onto their purchased pairs. One girl who purchased a special 1-of-25 edition XI for her boyfriend went as far as making a YouTube video on it and posting it up over the weekend (which has since been removed by user) to question its authenticity.
Jordan Brand has now put out an official statement on the matter: “To continue our Silver Anniversary celebration, we have created 25 special pairs of the Air Jordan 11 that feature both a commemorative patch underneath the sole of the right shoe and an embroidered Jumpman on the heel. These 25 special pairs were put into circulation with the rest of the Silver Anniversary Air Jordan 11’s, and can be found at retail partners that carry these highly sought after kicks. Officially color styled as White/Metallic Silver, the shoe features a logo-less side profile unlike all previous editions of the Air Jordan XI mid. Sideline Apparel is offering up the shoe for pre-order starting tomorrow, with the model dropping globally on May 1st. Retail is $150.
