The Air Jordan Alpha 1 in Black/Red/Green has started to hit Foot Locker’s House of Hoops accounts. Dubbed the “Christmas Day” colorway because of its debut last December 25th by Ray Allen in a nationally televised NBA game, the shoe features all the same color trimmings as the model Allen wore. Underfoot, a full-length, bottom-loaded Zoom Air unit can be seen which is the same cushioning configuration used on the upcoming Air Jordan 2010. Yesterday, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in a 102-87 game with ‘Bron unveiling this season’s “Christmas” Day special make-up of his signature shoe. The Nike Air Max LeBron VII colorway seen at the Staples Center yesterday can be picked up right now on Nike.com at an increased price tag of $180.00 with all sizes available at time of this posting. The only thing you can’t get are the pine green shoe laces LeBron strapped up with, as the released version model comes with standard black laces. It looks like Jordan Brand is setting up its NBA athletes in Christmas Day games to promote the new Air Jordan Alpha 1 hitting retail in 2010. The latest confirmed players to wear the shoe are teammates Dwyane Wade and Quentin Richardson as the Miami Heat take on the New York Knicks tomorrow. Richardson, posting on his Twitter account @QRich, gives us a look at his pair of White/Varsity-Red Alpha 1′s. Check out a special make-up pair of the sneakers designed for Ray Allen here.

When the Boston Celtics take on the Orlando Magic tomorrow, Ray Allen will be wearing a special make-up version of the upcoming Air Jordan Alpha 1 shoe. Colorblocked for the holiday season, this Christmas Day Alpha 1 style adds splashes of red on the laces, midsole stitching, and “Swoosh” & Air Jordan “Wings” logo badging to an already familiar Celtics-green palette. The Air Jordan Alpha 1 is a quarter-century-later modern update to the classic Peter Moore-designed Air Jordan 1 silhouette and features a full-length, bottom-loaded (see: Tinker Hatfield on Air Jordan 2010) Zoom Air unit which is partially visible through a translucent window seen underfoot. This year’s LeBron James “Christmas Day” shoe comes by way of a gradient faded upper Nike Air Max LeBron VII. The Red/Black shoe features prominent hits of crimson red along the leather rand overlay, a varsity red tinted 360 Air Max unit, and a black outsole and interior lining. A childhood graphic of LeBron receiving a Christmas gifted mini-basketball hoop decorates the sockliner. The shoes will be available this December 25th/26th according to Nike Basketball.
