Following on the heels of the recent Air Force 1 Foamposite in Silver, this new colorway features a black Foamposite shell with a black nubuck eyestay and heel tab. CounterKicks attended the premier of the documentary “Air Force 1: Anatomy Of An Urban Legend” this past Friday at the Apollo Theater. Director Thibaut De Longeville (of “Just For Kicks” sneakerhead fame) sat for a question and answer session after the film’s conclusion to talk a little more in-depth on the Air Force 1 film project. Images of a Nike Air Force 1 x Jay-Z collaboration have been released. The low-cut shoe is a solid black leather construction with a special upper panel design. A “Nike Hov” leather tongue tag and leather insoles add detail. The entertainer and Nike joined to create an “All Black Everything” Air Force 1 collection to be auctioned for charity on eBay. Proceeds will benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Jay-Z will perform tomorrow, August 12th, at Radio City Music Hall to kick off the World Basketball Festival. Celebrating the launch of the Air Force 1 “5 Borough” Pack and this month’s World Basketball Festival, Nike Sportswear held the 1LOVE Block Party in front of its 21 Mercer Street location in New York over the weekend. Music was provided by unofficial Nike ambassador DJ Clark Kent and DJ King Solomon, while NY regulars Ed Lover, Wale, Amanda Diva, Ski Beatz and Theophilus London roamed the scene. Over 1000 people were in attendance, helping themselves to free BBQ catered by Hill Country and other Nike giveaways. The Nike Air Force 1 Low ”Hamptons” will release on Saturday, July 10th as a quickstrike to House of Hoops stores. The all-white leather shoe features an “H” emblem on the tongue, and a translucent outsole revealing a map of Long Island, New York, where the Hamptons is located on the east end.
