It was around 1999 that I realized I could make shoe design more than a dream, a career. I was a freshman in high school and was constantly on the sneaker forums. One young designer shut the boards down for months with his vision for the future of athletic footwear. Back then the Internet knew that young designer as “Alphaproject”. Alpha was the first designer that I became aware of outside of Tinker Hatfield, Aaron Cooper and Eric Avar. Alpha gave me an idea of where I needed to start and what I needed to accomplish to one day make my dream a reality. Here’s a look at the latest Nike Air Max LeBron VII PE, the MVP. LeBron James sported this White/Crimson/Grey-Gold colorway Monday night against the Boston Celtics to celebrate his 2nd consecutive Most Valuable Player award. The shoe features a white leather upper with a grey fleece-like material subbing for the standard Flywire panels, and includes crimson laces, a crimson ankle collar and trim, and gold accents. The rear medial panels display a stitched, interlocked “MVP” script. A crimson and translucent grey outsole complete the make. No word on a release but stay tuned. Nike Air Max LeBron VII – “Big Apple” Sample

New images are out of a “Big Apple” Nike Air Max LeBron VII sample. However, despite the New York City titling, this Red/White-Green colorway displays a Christmas-like theme. With a solid red upper, a red patent leather toe rand, green accents, and green, red and white speckles, this make-up evokes the colors and snowy weather associated with December 25th. White laces with green speckles and a white/red outsole cap the look. There is currently no release information for this colorway.
