To honor dual-sport athlete Bo Jackson’s MLB career, Nike has created a baseball glove-inspired version of the Nike Trainer SC 2010. The Rustic Brown/Black-Metallic Gold colorway features a brown leather upper with metallic gold contrast stitching, black/brown Flywire overlays, and “Bo Knows 1989″ signage branded onto the lateral ankle collar. A “1990-2010″ inch mark design is included on the heel. The look is capped with a white and black midsole/outsole. This model is available now. Retail is $110. Nike CEO Mark Parker fielded an audience question on Tiger Woods last week at Fast Company’s “Innovation Uncensored” conference in New York City. In a post from yesterday, Parker recounted in a clip about the advice Apple CEO Steve Jobs told Nike: Get rid of the crappy stuff. New images of the “blackout” edition Nike Zoom Kobe V we previewed a while back are out now. The Black/Dark Grey/Varsity Purple shoe features a black color base with allotments of dark grey on the upper and only brief glimpses of varsity purple at the outsole and heel counter. Here’s a look at the player edition Nike Air Max Hyperize worn by the Los Angeles Lakers’ Pau Gasol this season. The shoe comes customized for Gasol in both White/Purple/Gold (home) and Black/Purple/Gold (away) styles, each featuring “PAU GASOL” logo badging on the tongue. The Nike Zoom Soldier 1 Baseball Cleat sample features the Zoom Soldier 1 basketball shoe’s upper atop a Nike cleated outsole. The upper’s black nubuck is contrasted with a white patent leather toe cap and a Swoosh midfoot strap. This cleat was never released to the public. Today we have some new images of the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Draft Day”. The White/Orion Blue-Varsity Purple-Black combination – a nod to the Charlotte Hornets, who drafted Kobe in 1996 - features a white upper with a purple sockliner, blue heel, Swoosh and translucent outsole. This black based colorway in the Nike Air Force 1 hits retail later this summer. The Black/Black/Varsity Red shoe features black patent leather overlays on the upper with brief varsity red accenting on the midsole and tongue label. Official release date is August 7th. Nike Basketball has released images of both “home” and “away” versions of the Nike Huarache 2010 for the Portland Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge. Styled in both Black/Red (home) and White/Red (away) versions, both models feature custom LaMarcus player badging on the tongue.
