Under Armour Proto Swagger – Brandon Jennings Lifestyle Special Make-Up

Under Armour recently hooked up Brandon Jennings with not only his first signature shoe but also this special make-up lifestyle silhouette, dubbed the Proto Swagger. The shoe features a black leather upper, white vulcanized midsole, and red/green Milwaukee Bucks styled trim to accent. A broken glass pattern can be seen on the uppers while Jennings jersey number “3″ is spotlighted at the heel. This particular pair was created and presented as a one-off model for Jennings. Nike Air Flight Max II – Penny Hardaway PE

The Nike Air Flight Max II released a decade ago and featured a “Dynamic-Fit” spandex sleeve upper, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) external support cage, and a rubber outsole design shared with the Nike Jet Flight of the same era. While you can no longer purchase the shoes at retail and no retro models of the silhouette are on the horizon, we take a look back today at a special make-up pair of the Air Flight Max II for Penny Hardaway. This White/Purple style comes matched for Phoenix Suns “Home” games when Hardaway was a member of the team in the early 2000′s and features the Penny 1-cent logo embroidered on the tongues. Jordan Hallowed Ground & Ol’ School III – Georgetown Hoyas PE’s

We last showed you a Georgetown University special make-up shoe in December with the Jordan 16.5. Today, we exhibit two new player exclusive styles for the Hoyas team: the Jordan Hallowed Ground and Jordan Ol’ School III. Both shoes feature a white base with Georgetown’s blue and gray color scheme along with the school’s “G” logo badging on the uppers. Additionally seen on the Jordan Ol’ School III is the use of the Hoyas’ signature kente cloth pattern on the midsole, derived from the Akan people of Ghana. Reebok Talkin’ Krazy II – Harlem Globetrotters Special Make-Up

Much like the initial Reebok Talkin’ Krazy shoe, the sequel exhibits a full “dry-erase” material upper design and comes complete in-box with marker to readily customize the shoe. The Talkin’ Krazy II also re-ups with Reebok’s latest “HexRidecushioning system which provides an air-based ride underfoot in hexagon-shaped bladder pockets, along with SmoothFit technology which eliminates all seams for an irritation-free fit. While you can find the Talkin’ Krazy II at retail now, this Red/White/Blue colorway currently featured as SLAM’s “Kick of the Day” is a Harlem Globetrotters special make-up edition and is not for sale.

And1 Wonder Mid – Wonder Bread Sample

A play off the model’s name, this And1 Wonder Mid was colored up with a certain famous sliced bread loaf in mind. Using Wonder Bread’s iconic packaging as a model base, the shoe features the same Red, Yellow, and Navy Blue color hits along the upper and outsole. Also seen is a stylized AND1 logo on the heel with a takeoff on the “Wonder” logo that was originally inspired in 1921 by the Vice President of the baking company at the International Balloon Race in Indiana. Northline Mall in Houston, Texas is getting their own House of Hoops this weekend and to celebrate tomorrow’s opening, Nike has created 2 SMUs (Special Makeups) of the Nike Hyperize in throwback Houston Astros and Houston Rockets colorways. Can you imagine Nolan Ryan or Mike Scott throwing heaters from the mound with cleated versions of the Astros colorway or Hakeem getting his Dream shake on rocking the Rockets colorway? Jordan Hallowed Ground – Oak Hill Academy Special Make-Up

Hitting this Fall will be a handful of Jordan Hallowed Ground special make-ups, including this style colored up for Oak Hill Academy, which was attended by Jordan Brand’s Carmelo Anthony, as well as Jerry Stackhouse and Brandon Jennings among others. The shoe features a splatter paint red to black gradient midsole, constrast stitching in varsity-red, and a suede upper. “OAK HILL” is seen on the tongue while the sockliner spotlights the school’s “Warrior” mascot seen with a basketball.
