Chinese sportswear brand PEAK has been looking to make in-roads into the U.S. market over the past few years with the signings of NBA players such as Jason Kidd, Ron Artest, Shane Battier, Kevin Love, and Carl Landry among others. PEAK recently opened its 6,000th store in Shanghai and it was the first Chinese footwear brand to acquire a licensing deal with the NBA in 2007. More recently, the brand took a hit from Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson who suggested Ron Artest’s plantar fasciitis may be caused in part by wearing PEAK shoes which we covered here. Today, we have some recent PEAK catalog product images which feature prominent usage of NBA team logos along with near copies of signature product like the Converse Wade 3 and a curiously close replication of Nike’s Kobe Bryant “24″ target logo as originally seen on the Zoom Kobe II. PEAK is currently only available in the Chinese market and has not yet made an announcement for its expected launch in the United States.
