Homeland Security puts a dozen counterfeit-peddling footwear websites on ICE.
Music circles have been chattering over the last few days about the domain name seizures of sites such as onsmash.com and rapgodfathers.com by the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division. The takeovers, which occurred early morning last Friday, also reached into the realm of footwear as numerous counterfeit shoe selling websites were also taken down and now display the Homeland Security “seized” graphic above.
CounterKicks has gone through the full list of Friday’s 82 seized website domains and found at least 12 sites with a footwear connection, mostly representing Nike, Inc. brands and Timberland. The seized sneaker domains list, as follows:
