It was bound to happen. With the January 22nd release date of the Air Jordan 3 “Cement” fast approaching, it was a safe bet we’d see the shoe on a Jordan Brand athlete. Mike Bibby got the nod.
Bibby put in 15 points with the Cements, including four 3-pointers, to help the Hawks snatch a 108-93 home win over the Indiana Pacers. Teammate Joe Johnson, known to rotate Team Jordans and retros, broke out the “Carmine” Jordan 6-17-23 for his 24-point performance.
And then there’s Gil.
Gil is no stranger to Under Armour, having sported the brand’s Micro G Supreme back in mid-December. But his kicks carousel landed on the Under Armour Micro G Lite last night for a 117-107 Magic road win over the Dallas Mavericks. Gil added 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals to the effort.
Many kicks to check out from last night, including a mix of usuals and unusuals from Rajon Rondo, Tyrus Thomas, JaVale McGee, Kirk Hinrich, Kevin Durant, and Raja Bell.
