With sneakers, there’s always an upside.
Gilbert Arenas has checked signature shoe after signature shoe off of his kicks list this season. Looks like Charles Barkley was next in line for Gilbert’s rotation of honor.
Arenas decided on the Nike Air Max CB34 “Glass Blue” retro last night for a match against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He added 9 points, 1 rebound, and 5 assists in 19 minutes for the Magic but the Thunder held on to win, 125-124.
Gil’s kicks were the highlight in an otherwise standard fare evening of sneakers. Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 36 points in his “Home” Nike Zoom KD III, Russell Westbrook followed with 32 in his Nike Air Max Fly By, John Wall continued with his Reebok Zig Slash, Dwyane Wade put in even more time in his Air Jordan 2010 PE, and J.R. Smith appears to have made the switch the the Nike Zoom Kobe VI for the time being.
