    APL x Foot Locker

The world’s most expensive performance basketball shoe is now available at Foot Locker.

The $300 priced Athletic Propulsion Labs Concept 1 shoe was spotted by sneaker customizer and CounterKicks friend EmmanueLabor who sent us these camera phone images from the Foot Locker/House of Hoops location in Tukwila, WA.

CounterKicks reached APL co-founder Adam Goldston for comment on the new Foot Locker distribution channel and Goldston told us that APL is currently being market tested in a select group of top tier Foot Locker doors nationwide including the Beverly Center location in Los Angeles for NBA All-Star Weekend. The APL brand (whos shoes were banned by the NBA) is also currently working on a wider 2011 retail roll out strategy with Foot Locker, Inc., which operates more than 3,500 retail stores worldwide.

Previous to APL’s new Foot Locker partnership, the startup brand had only been accessible at brick-and-mortar retail in Modell’s Sporting Goods Times Square location in NYC.
