The 2011 NBA All-Star Game was awarded to Los Angeles but it belongs to Kobe Bryant. With the game on his home turf, Bryant reminded everyone who he is and what he does, putting up 37 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals to claim All-Star Game MVP in the West’s 148-143 victory. And he did it in his “Challenge Red” Nike Zoom Kobe VI.
LeBron James (“Treasure Blue” Nike LeBron 8 V/2) led the East with 29, 12 and 10, bringing his team back from a 17-point fourth quarter deficit but Kevin Durant (“Challenge Red” Nike Zoom KD III) knocked down a 15-foot jumper and a three-pointer in the closing moments to put the game just out of reach.
The rest of the sneaker mix was also impressive. From Dwyane Wade’s White/Blue Air Jordan 2011 and Ray Allen’s Blue/Silver Air Jordan 2011 to Derrick Rose’s “Sun” yellow adidas adiZero Rose and Black/White/Red adiZero Rose 1.5 to Carmelo Anthony’s red Jordan Melo M7 to Blake Griffin’s Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 “10.0″, the 2011 All-Star Game was a feast for the sneaker fan’s eyes.
