Where we’re going, we need cooler shoes.
Carmelo Anthony is on a mini shoe roll.
One day after finally getting to wear a shoe with some pizzazz since coming to the Knicks, Anthony busted out the “Future Sole” Jordan Melo M7′s in a match with the Pistons. But not even the bright orange on Melo’s shoes could distract from his worst performance as a Knick: 6 points on 2-12 shooting, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. New York lost, 99-95. Maybe a few flashes of light from the shoes’ reflective 3M upper would’ve helped avert any stat checking.
In Orlando, Dwight Howard got around to wearing his “St. Patrick’s Day” adidas Superbeast to put up 16 points and 18 rebounds in an 85-82 win over the Nuggets. Jameer Nelson canned a 3-pointer at the buzzer to seal the victory.
In other kicks action: It was a veritable couples night. Jerryd Bayless and Sonny Weems both sported green adidas adiPure’s, Anthony Morrow and Damion James tag teamed in black/blue Nike Air Go LWP, and Michael Beasley and Wesley Johnson wore the black/white adidas Crazy 8, as we promised.
Look out for all of these shoes and more, including a mix of Kobe’s, Hyperdunk’s, Hyperfuses High & Low and Tony Parker’s silver Nike Zoom Brave IV, ahead in NBA Kicks…
