The 2011 NBA Playoffs began Saturday, bringing with it plenty of shoe debuts. Namely, the official multi-player unveiling of the adidas adiZero Crazy Light and LeBron James’ Nike LeBron 8 PS. The new Crazy Light was seen in four colorways on five players: Derrick Rose got things going by unleashing a Black/White/Red look, Darren Collison went Black/White/Yellow, Jrue Holiday and Hedo Turkoglu laced up the already iconic Sharp Blue/White colorway, and Josh Smith opted for Black/White.
Rose made the Crazy Light‘s debut shine, putting up 39 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks to help Chicago rally past Indiana, 104-99. Collison steered the Pacers with 17, 6, 9, 2 and 1, Holiday recorded 19, 5, 5 and 3, Turkoglu 6, 4, 5, 1 and 1, and J-Smoove 15, 8, 2 and 2.
LeBron notched 21, 14, 5, 1 and 3 in his White/Red LeBron PS to nudge Miami to a 97-89 win over Philly. Other sneaker highlights included Gilbert in Cool Grey Air Jordan 11‘s, Joe Johnson playing in Jordan Play In These F, Gerald Wallace not wearing Playoffs to start the playoffs, and Shawn Marion in the Nike Air Shox Hyperballer/Air Hypershox /Shox Air Hyperballer.
