It all adds up.
The Celtics climbed – in Rajon Rondo’s case, dragged – their way back into the series with the Heat last night in a 97-81 win. Rondo, who temporarily dislocated his left elbow in a leg sweep takedown by Dwyane Wade, managed to return shortly thereafter, catching, passing and shooting with his right arm to finish with 6 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists and 1 steal to spark the C’s. He even wore two pairs of shoes – Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low‘s in the first half, Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011‘s in the second. Kevin Garnett unboxed his “152-120″ ANTA KG 1 for game highs of 28 points and 18 rebounds, Paul Pierce rang up 27 in his green “Truth” Nike Air Legacy 2, and Jordan Brand supplied Ray Allen’s 15 point outing with another player exclusive Jordan Phase 23 Hoops. For the Heat, Wade went with Black/Red Jordan Fly Wade‘s for 23 points, while LeBron added 15 in his Black/Red Nike LeBron 8 PS. Game 4 in Boston on Monday night.
Just when you might think their higher seed opponent might get it together and one-up them, the Grizzlies dig in their claws. Memphis snagged Game 3 away from the Thunder, 101-93, and went up 2-1 in their series. Yes, Zach Randolph and his trusty Nike Air Max Fly By did more work, scoring 21 and boarding 21. Mike Conley (adidas adiZero Crazy Light) and O.J. Mayo (Nike Hyperdunk 2010) both threw in 18, and Tony Allen scored 10 in the adidas adiZero Rose. Kevin Durant (Nike Zoom KD III) and Russell Westbrook (Nike Zoom Hyperfuse) carried the Thunder with 22 and 23 apiece. Will the Grizz go up 3-1 Monday?
