Dirk lets it all hang.
Serge Ibaka couldn’t stop him. Kendrick Perkins couldn’t. Nor could Nick Collison. The OKC Thunder ran out of defenders to try to stop Dirk Nowitzki last night, who racked up 48 points in 41 minutes, including a perfect 24-24 from the charity stripe, all while boogieing in the Nike Hyperdunk 2010. Nowitzki also managed to chip in 6 boards, 8 assists and 2 blocks as the Mavericks took Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, 121-112. Dallas’ next two big performers were reserves. Jason Terry (Reebok Zig Slash) scored 24 with 4 three-pointers, and J.J. Barea (Converse Star Player EVO Low) floated in 21.
Kevin Durant had a heck of a game himself, knocking in 40 points in his “Scoring Title” edition Nike Zoom KD III‘s, and adding 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Russell Westbrook (Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011) scored 20 and Ibaka contributed 16 and 6. Game 2 goes down Thursday night. Will the Mavs rope up the Thunder and put a 2-0 stranglehold on the series?
