Gripping comeback.
Originally released in 2007 to much praise from skateboard heads, the “Griptape” Nike SB Dunk has returned. This latest incarnation retains many of the details that made the ’07 version so popular, including its less-is-more colorway featuring a black suede upper, with light graphite accents. Of course, the griptape-like material that this one draws its nickname from can still be found on the toe box and shoelace eyestay. Perhaps the most notable change from the original version is the absence of the “SB” ankle strap, further adding to the minimalist appeal of this latest Nike SB release.
