Haven’t got your Nike LeBron 9 fill yet? Here’s a brand new detailed image set, along with some fresh attributes to point out on the ninth LeBron James signature shoe. The headline of course being what Nike Basketball senior designer Jason Petrie decided to inscribe on the front toes of the LeBron 9′s solid rubber outsole: A quote from LeBron’s favorite movie “Gladiator”. The right shoe reads “What we do in life…” and the left shoe finishes “Echoes in eternity…”
LeBron loved the Maximus-spoken quote so much (see the clip below), he had it tattooed on his right and left biceps just before last year’s 2010 NBA Playoffs began. The film phrase, coupled with what we know already from our past coverage of the shoe (Nike LeBron 9 – 15 Detailed Photos, Exclusive: Nike LeBron 9, Nike Lebron 9 New Images) with its Flywire tech, carbon fiber molded weave reinforcements, and Nike Pro Combat interior padding, creates the sense of a battle ready motif for LeBron James and his next game shoe. Perhaps we’ll even seen a “Gladiator” inspired colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 down the line?
