D Rose’s Christmas Day package.
It’s been nicknamed everything from “Christmas” to “L-Train” to “Blue Line” and today the holiday edition adidas adiZero Rose 2 gets another label, “Windy City.”
The special “Fire Red” colored kicks will be worn by its namesake Derrick Rose on December 25 when the Bulls charge the Lakers on the opening day of this Lockout-shortened NBA season.
Officially available to the public at Foot Locker, Eastbay, and Shopadidas starting December 15, the shoes are already in select Foot Locker retail doors in Chicago – the city which serves as inspiration for the style with a map of the subway on the sockliner, an anodized upper finish to give a subway car “brushed metal look,” and a blue adiZero pin line set against the festive red upper to represent Chi-town’s famed “L” train with the “blue line” leading all passengers out to O’Hare to take flight.
adidas Basketball will also hold an early flash sale for the “Windy City” adiZero Rose 2 on its Facebook page next week, for those of you who like receiving your Christmas gifts early.
