Gearing up.
From coast to coast, many school districts’ athletic programs are feeling the financial vice grip being tightened by the flagging economy. Thankfully there’s still a spirit of help stirring amongst the concerned, and with the concerned’s connections.
Rapper Meek Mill joined with Reebok earlier this week for another project. Something a bit more personal. Meek’s old Philly high school, Strawberry Mansion, was badly in need of basketball gear for its boys and girls squads. So he and the Vector got to solving the problem, donating duffles, tees, socks, shorts, sleeves, snapbacks and footwear to both teams. And for a little something on off-days, the guys were supplied with the new Reebok Blast and the gals got the femme themed Reebok Chi-Kaze.
The school’s gym became a makeshift stage for the Meek-emceed charity. Check out a few pics from event as well as shots of the Blast and Chi-Kaze.
