Just For CP3.
Coming into last night’s match with the Grizz, the L.A. Clippers were 4-6 in their last 10 games, riding a three game losing streak, and fading in the Pac Division standings they once controlled. This is not what people expected Lob City to be doing at this point in the season. The lackluster, unfocused play and whispers about Vinny Del Negro being a crappy coach is enough to make any superstar go grey early. Which Chris Paul did.
CP3 put on some grey and red Jordan CP3.V’s to register 19, 1, 13 and 2 in a 101-85 win over Memphis. Besides the needed win, it was a first step in beating back the ‘they’re crumbling’ sentiment swirling Los Angeles and the ranks of NBA watchers everywhere. As long as CP can keep the Clips clipping, he can keep the grey on his shoes and off of his head.
