Love conquers ball.
Kevin Love did it again. Sure, he scored 40 and grabbed 19 boards. Seems like he does that a lot. No, what KL42 did was put his team on his back once more to get the win. Remember, there’s no Ricky Rubio. All he’s got is modest vet Luke Ridnour and greenhorn Derrick Williams to flank the Wolves’ attack. They play an 8-man rotation. Makes Love’s effort all the more impressive, doesn’t it. Add that to the fact that he’s doing it in the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011, a fine shoe but not exactly setting the performance basketball shoe world on fire. Speaking of Williams, he put up an almost nonexistent 5 points in the Under Armour Micro G Funk in a matchup of sorts with fellow UA face Kemba Walker, who also got Funk-y. Kemba did 20 off the bench for the Bobcats. Which reminds, don’t laugh at Love for balling out against inept Charlotte. Forty and 19 is 40 and 19.
