We’ve got the full lineup for Holiday 2012 in the Nike Air Max 95+ BB, a new hybrid model rolling out this year. It’s not the first time you’ve seen it though. We first broke news of this shoe last year, when it was more appropriately and logically called the Nike Air Max 95 360. But why be rational.
Air Max 95+ BB replaces the traditional leather and nubuck upper of the original AM95 with a Hyperfuse-based covering that’s coupled with a full blown 360 Max Air bag. It’s what the AM95 would look like if it were first created in 2012.
The little plus sign in the shoe’s name indicates Nike+ functionality for your iPod, like the rest of the Swoosh’s running line. The “BB” part makes no sense. It’s often initialed for BasketBall styles, which this obviously isn’t. Seems dumb (and it is), and we’re sure there’s probably some extended Nike backstory to explain it away eventually.
