It appears Gerald Wallace will singlehandedly salvage the Air Jordan 2012′s respect. Crash showed up in Milwaukee in black and red AJ ’12s for a loss to the playoff-optimistic Bucks last night. But nevermind the loss. Crash is playing for kicks pride at this point and good thing he is. Whether by indifference or some backwards corporate directive, Jordan Brand athletes have been steadfastly reticent to wear the ’12 with any consistency this year, creating an AJ sig vacuum that has never really been filled. If not for the footwear efforts of Wallace, Kevin Martin and Stephen Jackson, this marquee shoe might’ve been relegated to guilty pleasure status, folks hurriedly checking out sneaker blogs for pics of it before the boss or a comely co-worker wanders by. So thank you, Gerald Wallace, for helping to make the Air Jordan 2012 NBA Kicks-worthy this season, and for whatever web traffic stirred by your jaunts in them.
